Help: Do-Not-Post Database

What is the Do-Not-Post Database?

The Do-Not-Post Database is a database of files which copyright holders upload to YiffArchive who wish to prohibit/restrict their upload.

I'm a copyright holder and I want to add my content to the Do-Not-Post Database

In order for you to add your content to the Do-Not-Post Database, You must have firstly created a takedown request. Once you have created a request you will be given a Temporary Takedown ID and password. If have this information, You can create a Do-Not-Post Request

How does the Do-Not-Post Database Work?

The Do-Not-Post Database works on the following principles:

  1. A Copyright holder uploads their copyrighted content to the Do-Not-Post Database

  2. The Do-Not-Post Database generates a mathematical hash of the uploaded content and stores it.

  3. The Do-Not-Post Database then deletes the uploaded content (This means that we do not keep the original files, only the mathematical hash of each file)

  4. The Do-Not-Post Database scans all uploaded content on YiffArchive and attempts to find matches against the Do-Not-Post Database

  5. If a match is found the Do-Not-Post Database will automatically flag the matching post and remove it
